Pass the torch! The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics are attracting some of the world’s biggest names.

The 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony kicked off this summer's games on a high note, with Lady Gaga and Celine Dion performing as celebrities like Ariana Grande and Tom Cruise watched from the sidelines. 

In contrast to past ceremonies, this year’s broke from the traditional stadium parade and took place on Paris’s River Seine. In this monumental event, it was the first time the Opening Ceremony was held outside of a stadium in the history of the modern Olympic Games. Despite the rainy weather, excitement was in the air as Lady Gaga took to the stage and Celine Dion stunned with her emotional return to performing.
