While the world has its eyes on Paris for the Summer Olympics, tennis fans are intent on watching the 137th edition of The Championships. Among the mix of fans, many on-lookers can expect to see some famous faces over the next two weeks. Wimbledon, the internationally known tennis championships, is played annually at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in the Wimbledon district of London. The tournament is held in late June and early July and is one of the four annual “Grand Slam” tennis events, with the other three consisting of the Australian, French, and U.S. Opens.
